About us

Learn more about what we do

The Discovery FarmsĀ® Program was founded in Wisconsin in 2001 with the task to partner with farmers, collect on-farm water quality data around the state, and extend that information so that others could understand the impact of agricultural practices. From research and education efforts, farmers can adapt and adopt specific solutions to water quality challenges. Discovery Farms Minnesota was formed in 2010, and programs in Arkansas and Washington are also active. Each Discovery Farms Program is built on three pillars including farmer leadership, water quality research, and communication of results.
